If Warnock doesn't stay... should we go for a Female Manager and be the first UK club to do so

I'm not saying we should or shouldn't - just generating some debate around the topic....

Although some people may say its risky, surely can't any worse than an 'unproven Manager' .... AKA Woodgate

I wouldn’t be adverse to it, but I think the media attention would be too much and would create a pressure around a team that we may not want.

I know it shouldn’t be a reason not to employ but from a selfish point of view it would detract from the team in an adverse way

I'd rather have a female manager than Phil Neville ffs. What credentials did he have for getting that job over a well qualified female manager? You could somewhat understand it if he was a progressive sort, but his past social media contributions outed him as a sexist moron.

Any up and coming young black managers?

Don’t think we should really be going down the inexperienced route as we always seem to get it wrong but Liam Rosenior is always someone who has impressed me. Now coaching at Derby. Think he turned us down to be a part of Woodgates staff ( can you blame him ) so it’s probably a non starter

I recall he was mooted as a coach or assistant for Woodgate. I didn't mean a first timer, maybe someone doing the business in France, Holland or Germany at a similar or lower level who would see the chance of having a crack at getting a club to the PL as an opportunity.

"I didn't mean a first timer, maybe someone doing the business in France, Holland or Germany at a similar or lower level "

I'd prefer someone with a track record of success at a lower level in England: knowledge of the market we'll likely be buying from etc.

I appreciate that a more exotic unknown might be a little more exciting, at least until matches start, but for me that is worthless.

I'd still like Paul Cook, if he happened to part ways with Wigan this Summer.

I would take Cook all day

Absolutely not.

I doubt there's anyone who'd actually be up to the task or would be respected enough to be taken seriously.
The women's leagues have a long way to go to even be close to the same standard as the men's, and that's the only place they'll cut their teeth currently.

There's no genuine reason why a woman couldn't be a manager of a men's team, but people are kidding themselves if they think there wouldn't be enormous obstacles and struggles, unless the woman in question was absolutely exceptional.

Surely, it should be an invitation for applications and the best applicant given it... black white female male not an issue...
We'll probably get higgy tho...

If not as actual manager, you could have a female on the coaching staff. That would be a start.
