If Chuba went to Everton?

If I was him, in the form of my career I would be ready to take and continue my form in the premier league. Massive pay day, play in the premier league which is most players ambition/ aspiration.

The club i'm currently at tried to bomb me out 6 months ago. The security of a 3 year deal would be on my radar.

Hope we keep him. Anything over 10mil and I can see him leaving.

This is me being pedantic but he was successful at PAOK. Scored the winning goal in the Greek cup final, and scored goals in the Champions League against some pretty decent clubs.
That being said you could reasonably say he hasn't fulfilled his potential so far. But he will do for us!

I agree he was "kind of successful" at PAOK, but that success has a ceiling at PAOK...
Being 25-26, at that stage of his career... no disrespect to PAOK but even playing there isn't the level of success he was expected to achieve when he was younger.

Again, it was just a daft newspaper article, but if you're being name dropped as a potential striker for England in a future world cup, a lot of people must have expected him to go on to much bigger things when he was a youth player at Arsenal.

He'll know this is the best 6 months he's ever had as a footballer, but it's the same with any sport... If you're a boxer smashing up your opponent in round 5, you don't want the bell to ring, because round 6 could go back to being a 50 50 fight. I think he'd be taking a massive risk leaving in January.

However, in the summer, if we don't get promoted, and he carries on the way he's been playing.... he'll definitely be going to the premier league.

You've got to remember guys. I don't think we're all to desperate for money.
We never spent the Tav money and or the Spence money, I think the initial budget was what we spent and even if it was from the Spence deal there was still quite a bit left.

The suggestion is we went in permanently for Archer, then with an option to buy.
This is a PL sides top prospect who's already shown he can cut it in this league and who Gerrard wanted around the first team squad.

Gibbo is clearly ready to put his hand in his pocket and back the men that he trusts. Carrick & Scott

He'll go nowhere in January, if he continues his excellent form, bags 20 plus and we don't end up in the PL, then it'll be thank you Chuba and good luck with a big fee.

There's also the very real possibility he's happy now and he signs a completely new deal.

I wouldn't worry, he's going nowhere this month

In his Media Conference today, Michael Carrick described Chuba as a person and a member of the team as "fantastic" - and repeated it for reporters who have a hearing problem.
When Michael Carrick says that, hes telling us Choooobs aint going nowhere.
Some reporters love to hear what they think will sell their rag.
Michael Carrick doesnt do tytt-bits to please newspapers and broadcasters.
Chooba has a car-parking space and his name on his diggers in the lads dining room.

We spent 8 million on Clarke, Hoppe and Forss. I’m not sure if that was some of the tav/spence money or the money we had before.

Whilst we obviously would not want to see him leave EVERY player at the club has a price.

I would think we'd take a serious look at anything north of 15mil. Maybe even 12+ if the deal structure works for us.
