If Carrick goes over the next few weeks

The squad has next to no quality. We lost all that from last season. Nobody would get a tune out of that squad.

Count your blessings and imagine a Pulis team. 4 centre halves then 4 centre midfielders with Rogers and Josh up top.

Lets get this straight having pulis would be awful. However we might be able to defend at least and keep a god damn clean sheet.

That's my biggest problem with Carrick. We haven't defended well at any point of his tenure and outscoring sides was never going to be a sustainable model. As a club and a coaching staff we haven't showed any effort to fix it this season and now the goals have dried up it magnifies the issue.

Carrick needs to be pragmatic and adapt his tactics and team selection to just get some points on the board. Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results is the definition of insanity.

So pick a team for Saturday for me.

What process. It's all baloney. What they are doing is nothing short of ridiculous.
Sell your best striker. Bring in lots of lower league or reserve team players for nothing or low fees. Hope to goodness one or two turn out to be really good and sell them for multi millions, repeat next season.

In reality the players brought in are in lower leagues or reserve teams for good reason. They are poor players and won't improve your team one bit. You then end up in a terrible position in the league and the only thing that can save you is spending the money you got for your striker and some more in January for a striker who isn't anywhere near as good as the striker you sold as part of "the process".

Dieng, Lehnihan, Hackney, O’Brien, McGree, Jones, Forss are you telling me they’re not quality players at this level?

You’re kidding yourself if you genuinely think this squad has no quality and nobody could do better.

It’s just being very badly managed.

Dieng, Van Den Berg and O’Brien have been solid additions.

Solid . What good is solid when you want promotion.
Which one will we sell for millions to make the" model work" ?
We are a disaster , no pace and no quality .What pace we do have with any end product starts on the bench.already 5 points adrift of everyone outside of the relegation zone apart from Rotherham.

and they were right. Karanka came in and instantly improved us.

The treatment of Mowbray by our fans at Barnsley was nothing short of disgraceful.

And Karanka took a long time to improve us. I remember after one poor result at the Riverside some idiot in the west upper shouting down the stairwell to anybody who would listen that ‘they’re just a load of Spaniards’.

We do have some numb supporters, no doubt about that.

He and the team at the time deserved it........

Now a poster on here is drawing attention to Mowbray’s current team being fourth.

I appreciate it can be hard work on here at times but the point is you can’t pick and choose when a manager is good or bad. He’s either a decent manager or he isn’t. You can’t say he was rubbish at the Boro but now great at Sunderland, doesn’t that just prove we should have stuck with him?

Yup that’s the process.

How many times have we heard “The Brentford et al model”

identify them young and cheap sell them on till you don’t have to do it until your recruitment is so bang on you steal £100m from Chelsea anyways.

That’s the process.

We never will know if it works as Gibson wants it as he keeps binning the coach.

I see why loads of folk want Carrick out cos we always do around this time of the year anyway. It’s tradition
