I personally think lockdowns would work - proper lockdowns , not the ones that we have in the U.K. where we are supposed to lockdown and half of the population just get and what the f**k they like.
my Mrs just landed in Malaysia they were tagged at the airport and now she has to quarantine for a week. She has an electronic tag akin to a prisoner ensuring she doesn’t leave home.
if people are found on the streets during lockdowns without a valid permit they are fined or worse. When they are told to wear masks they do - it’s not debateable. It may be draconian people may not like it.
However they have a population of 32 million people and they are averaging about 4000 covid cases a day. I’m sure there are many other factors at play here but essentially lockdowns when down properly certainly work.
There’s a lot of selfish people in this country with blood on their hands.
