Same here ....................10% on Tuesday for the over 60s.

Ref Country .................I have been told use a human guide to take you across the Island, probably in a Land Rover. They know the best spots and have the right equipment. I have been told the roads are not tarmacked away from the coast and the central roads are not usable outside the Summer season. The country in the Arctic Circle so very short days in Winter and very long in the Summer.

Cheers . Considering February so we are expecting mega cold conditions. Not going for the nightlife so the bar bill should be small.
Looking at trips every day from Reykjavik , inc a 14 hr to the south east ( and even the ridiculously costly Blue lagoon ( How Much!))
Any further ideas would be appreciated.

Got to try the soup served in a loaf of bread - Svarta Kaffid in central Reykjavik

We gave the penis museum a miss.

My daughter went for a school trip earlier in the year. Did the golden circle tour which she said was amazing. Some of the waterfalls are breathtaking. Also did the hot springs at the Secret Lagoon. She wasn’t impressed with the food though.

Once you land remember to start singing "we come from the land of the ice and snow" really really loudly.

Avoid the blue lagoon and find one of the smaller more remote hot springs. Blue lagoon is over priced, over rated and very busy. We took a campervan and drove the orbital road. There's soo much to see away from the south west
