I won't be renewing

And yes I know nobody asked, but my dad and I have had enough of p_issing money up the wall supporting a club that sadly, now more than ever, appear to be offering sweet diddly squat in return. Won't be going Wed night either. Sad times but that's what it's come to. Will be watching more local non league footy next season and hopefully a good few Harrogate games.

Hope you OK, Scubes.
Cant disagree with anything you've said.
2 x adult season cards. What's that? Bout £1000 ?

I am seriously not renewing my Boro Live Pass and just picking games . The midweek games mean getting up at 2am and as the seasons dead is becoming a chore .....

You do what you have to do 👍

The more you treat fans purely as customers (and that seems to be increasingly the direction the club wants to go in), the more they'll behave more like customers.

If the "product" is overpriced then people are more likely to walk away.

Feels like a few chickens might be about to come home to roost for Gibson/Bausor or whoever it is that seems to have decided their off field objective is purely to just rinse fans for as much as they can.

Totally agree, i haven't enjoyed the football we've played this season, so i'm doing the same, not driving across tomorrow night.

Below is my reply to a similar thread.

My first game was in 1974 aged 11 with my Dad, I've been a season ticket holder since 1981, and then at the Riverside stadium East Stand Upper from 95 to present day.
I have seen good/exciting teams, players and managers come and go, and a lot of poor/average players and managers come and go, I've questioned my sanity many times over the years, more so when we moved in 2001 to the lake district, and driving a 240 mile round trip for every home game.

I have decided and promised the Mrs, that this will be my last season, I won't be renewing my season ticket for 24/25.

I just wish they treated the fans as customers
I get what you mean tho - treated like they are on a drug and will turn up regardless of performances and prices.
Looks like the recent nonsense of STs could be a tipping point.

Having said that - there will be a mild shrug of the shoulders in Gibbo Towers and he will be told by, himself and others, that he is doing everything right.

Good luck to you Scuba

Or maybe this board is just a vocal minority. Yes it will be down but most fans I know are there for the long term. They are supporters. The word explains itself.
Super fan alert.

I've given my reasons on various other threads for not renewing after 37 years of having a season ticket, and everyone's circumstances are different. Just because some people have other priorities, or have now been priced out of attending, they are still supporters.

64 years on from my first season and I have to admit I feel like a customer rather than a part of the club.
I don't know how families cope with pricing these days.
We used to just stump up for 5 season tickets when my family were younger and everyone could go. It was a fair amount of money but nothing like as much out of your budget as it is now .Easy to understand why people are giving up.

You have served your time for sure Rico
And, yes, you remain a fan and and don't need to be at the Riverside to feel the torture, pain and..............joy

The money in our pockets is ours and we can choose to do with it as we see fit.

I can understand people who have just been priced out of it. Things are tough for a lot of people at the moment. Following your team is very habit forming and plenty of people will renew. Some won't.

The things is, those that don't renew are unlikley to be replaced with the next generation of supporters.

This sort of attitude doesn't help and just causes division. This is exactly the sort of attitude we see from the Club and why people are losing their connection
Spot on there. If the chairman won't give interviews during the hard times because he doesn't trust himself not to make a PR disaster of it, fans WILL stop feeling connected and it would be very unrealistic for anyone to think that won't happen.

I would guess it in't just that people have been priced our or that it is tough but that people no longer think it is fair or offers good value. I don't live local so I don't have a season ticket but I have already made a decision based on value of walk-up tickets to attend less when I can and I presume many season ticket holders will come to the same conclusion. I can afford to attend but I don't think it is good value to be paying the highest price tickets in the championship for a team that is deliberately reducing the quality of the playing staff. Similar value for money reasons why I, despite wanting to, don't buy anything from the club shop. They sell sub-par quality merchandise for premium prices.

I'd love to spend money on the club and support them but it has to be give and take. Thy have to offer something that is worth paying for. I'd buy the tat if it was priced like tat and I'd buy tickets for a L1 squad if it was L1 prices but I'm not paying CL prices for L1 quality.

Bang on. We mock Sunderland for £1 seats and school tickets but it's what we should be doing to get the next How many people got into Boro because family were and took them?

Me and my dad had ST's until pulis and jacked it in then as was full to watch, been tempted a few times to renew but won't pay the early bird premium and he just watches on iptv now.
