Why they have had only average impact over their Boro careers. Both half decent players but not consistent enough and both missed time with injuries. More so McGree.

I disagree, they've both been very good for us, especially last season when they were key members of a team that looked better to me than any I've seen since we were an established Premier League side. I don't think either are injury prone either, this season they've been unlucky with injuries as all players are at times, but last season they both played more than 40 games for us.

I think every press conference Michael Carrick says he will be out for several weeks. He clearly is not a manager that likes to raise expectation or put pressure on the injured player by naming an exact date. Maybe that is wise.
