Let's develop the squad a little further and then smash the league next year instead. I feel the step up from where we are now to Premiership is one that can't be bridged over a single summer.

As we can see, we are massively reliant on Jones, if he goes in the summer then we might be a mid table side next season if we don't get the recruitment right.

Let's hope we can get Jones back and string 6 wins together.

I felt when Chris WIlder came in for Neil that we would still fall short this year and it would be more about next season after he's had a couple of windows to bring his own players in.

He has got more out of the side than I expected still, by this point .. but today has been gash, it's been coming as certain players have not looked as good lately at all ..

In the Summer hopefully, we recruit well. Decent as Lumley has been of late in other games, I still think we need to sign a strong no.1 ... then it's going to be interesting to see who we can keep hold of and what the team will look like for 2022/23 ...

Either way, I don’t think it looks like “going up” is a subject that that should be the cause of any lost sleep. Not this year anyhow.
