I cant believe this ...but we are going down

We are in a really bad place and it's down to building a squad of unproven young players! Foreign players who have never played at this level before ran van den berg Silvera, Bangura, Engel, Glover and Latte Lath. Then you have Rodgers Greenwood Gilbert who have little championship experience. Yet they have thrown into the starting 11 expected to perform without any time to adapt. We have spent over 10 million this summer surly we could of got some more proven experience than what we have. Latte Lath and Coburn as our two strikers is madness in its self. We have to pray by some mirical that these youngsters learn fast and adapt quickly as we have to suffer until Janurary with them.

I am as gutted as anyone at what is going on but my sheets are remaining dry for the following reasons: 1. We aren't getting played off the park by anyone. 2. In most cases it's been our mistakes that have cost us (which can be addressed). 3. No one is playing at the peak of their abilities at the moment so there is clear room for improvement 4. With many new arrivals MC and the coaches still haven't found the right mix/formation. At some point he will be forced to experiment more to get that right. 5. Money will be made available in January if needed.

We have no idea what the peak of their abilities are are they are mainly reserve and players new to this league.

So how good are they ???

This might be it we just don’t know.

People said exactly the same things this time last year. We finished 4th.

I understand people are concerned but some of this stuff just seems quite a bit OTT TBH.
But and I’ll say this again we didn’t have players that were not experienced at this level

Watmore gone
Bola gone
Djiksteel out

We are in a far worse scenario as last year we all knew these players were better than we were seeing.

This season we just don’t know.

Bola barely played last season. Watmore was only ever a back-up option because he couldn’t play 90mins. He’s only played 200mins for Millwall this season and contributed nothing of note. Dijksteel is still here.

This time last year, people were saying Steffen was a liability, Smith was sh*te, the midfield was wide open, we had no strikers. Nobody foresaw what Akpom would do, or Hackney’s emergence.

It’s almost a carbon copy IMO.

I think will be okay weirdly I enjoyed the second half yesterday thought we played some good stuff, something to build on reckon O'Brien will do really well for us, Bangura looked decent as well, just need play with bit more aggression hopefully get a good result this week and the confidence will comeback

I include the ones we know in that. Hackney, Howson, Fry, Lenihan, Mcnair, Forss, Smith, Mcgree, Jones etc. etc. None of them yet to show anywhere near last seasons form albeit some haven't played much yet.

They did indeed but, from memory, the blame was very much put on Wilder who most thought was not getting enough out of the squad.

This feels a little different.

Current form is woeful hence the pessimism.
The question is what has to change to improve and what it the likelihood of that happening.
Other clubs will be improving too, so one of our hopes is others get lots worse.

Easy to understand why people who are so emotionally engaged are worried.

I love it when people begin using the term ra-ra as a childish insult to describe anyone with hope. It reminds me of what I don't miss about living in Teesside.

Exactly as we all knew wilder was the issue and so it proved… this is not the same.

Is Tuesday now a must win ???

As defeat would be a disaster as would leave us adrift at the bottom playing catch up in September.
