Gig in Sunderland at the Peacock..

Urggh, Sunderland was really nice. Cool venue, loads of nice bars.. looked tidy af

John Bramwell was sporting a rather interesting helmet of hair but as ever his voice and guitar playing were outstanding.. so good.

Sounds from the nee album ‘Hold back the Night’ we’re top notch.. one even gave me a lump in my throat.. tight in the feels.

Supported by Harriet Bradshaw who I hadn’t heard before.. bit of a Kathryn Williams vibe. Local lass was bigging up the boro and the folks at Press on Vinyl.

Check them out if you already haven’t. Highly recommended.

Might have to try another night out in Sunderland.. they’ve really sorted the place out!

Was it I Am Kloot or John Bramwell solo Newy. Thought IAK had split a few years ago. When he played the Waiting Room last year it was just him and all the e-mails I get are either him solo or John Bramwell & The Full Harmonic Convergence.

He is superb however he performs but I do miss IAK

John Bramwell solo last night. But the Album coming out in April is I am Kloot and it’s touring later this year.

Managed to see John Bramwell last night in Farsley. What a talent he is. Sublime voice, beautiful guitar playing and great banter in between songs. The addition of a second guitarist, a cello and 3-part harmonies really added to the songs from the last time I saw him.

Deserves much wider recognition although something tells me massive success wouldn't have suited him. Seems to like the role he has now of the wandering troubadour playing packed out small venues to fans who know and appreciate his songs.

Get to see him if you can
