I’ve decided to support Man City instead of Boro

This has to be the best thread I have seen in ages.
Thank you OP it's fantastic.
"decided to stop being a Boro fan and follow man city instead"
If only I could 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I couldn't change being a Boro fan any more than I could change the colour of my eyes.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😭😭😭🤣🤣🤣😍😍😍😍
I can hardly type for laughing.
Its the craziest thing I've ever heard of in my life.
Well done and thank you for such a hilarious post.

Why can’t you change being a boro fan?

personally I’m more of a fan of players than teams. I like to see if Leeds played well because i like Bamford, and I really like a lot of Man City players, they’re the only team in England id make time or pay to watch.

its only entertainment at the end of the day, It’s not like the players or club are particularly loyal to fans, so I don’t see the point in feeling you have to support a specific team forever and can’t change.

So I simply decided to support the team that entertain me.

Sport and Football are not really a matter of life and death, When you look at what’s really happening in the world. It’s light entertainment in the grand scheme of things, So I decided not to take time out of my day to watch poor side like Middlesbrough battle to a draw with Blackburn in the second tier, Just like I wouldn’t choose to watch a terrible film.

I apologise Hiredgun. I really did think it was a windup.
My intention was to laugh with you and not at you.
If you want to change your team then go for it if it makes you happy.
But I could never ever do it and I think most people are the same.
For me it's about keeping a link to where I am from.
Its that special bond I had with my grandad that I want to hold onto.
its about going through the bad times together because it makes the good times so much better.
I can still watch Man city, Barcelona, Real Madrid, etc and be entertained.
I can appreciate the beauty of the game when it's played well at elite level.
But the Boro is my club. I didn't choose it. It was given to me by life.
its a different kind of beauty. Its what football is really about to me.
I have so much respect for thousands up and down the country who also support their local teams regardless of what league they play in.
its why people were so outraged by the proposed superleague.
If we all just supported the top clubs who buy the best players and trophies with money provided by big business the game would become empty.
We would lose something in life thats special
But that's just my view and nobody has to agree with me.

I think his name says everything you need to know about the guy. Hired Gun, yep go with the money mate and follow City . . .

West Ham are currently top of Premier League, shouldn't you be supporting them.
Then if Man Utd have a good win today they can go top on goal difference, then you could change supporting to them.
Or would that be just too fickle for you.

Man City are the worst team ever to visit Ayresome. Passing back to their goalie and time wasting from the start of a game.

That was the game where you could only see a third of the pitch because of fog.
And the Riverside. From memory it was one of the dirtiest performances I've seen there from an away team. Steve Vickers got sent of for retaliating and Alun Armstrong scored the winner after a Ricard air-shot.

Lee Bradbury went down like he’d been shot, conning the ref to get Vickers sent off.

Anyway, OP is clearly a troll, best ignored.

As I said, it’s not about glory supporting

it’s a team I’ve always liked
