Thank you again to everyone who has contributed.
We contacted the Gazette and it’s on the site today -https://www.gazettelive.co.uk/news/teesside-news/mischievous-daisy-a-bundle-energy-21436933GazetteNot wishing to hijack your plans as I’m sure your diary will be packed but could somebody perhaps get in touch with the Gazette or Northern Echo and journal your last run . Will make a cracking publicity angle and rightly give you the credit I feel you deserve .
Easy I know for me to say but perhaps somebody on this board may have a few contacts .
What about a finish at the Riverside ? ( there I go again )
Well done mate. Best of luckThanks yet again to all who have supported me.
First run done today for the Leeds half marathon. Finished in 2 hours 2 minutes, had a bit left in the tank and could have pushed for a faster time but thought best not to.
Legs so far are feeling pretty good and I’ve bought a foam roller I’m going to have a go with later tonight.
Go again tomorrow for the second half marathon starting from my house!
Im plotting a route for Saturday to end at the Riverside stadium, just got to work it out.
Will be on BBC Tees in next half an hour!I have messaged Gary to look out for you making contact.
You’ve earned that takeaway!!Run 2 done after work today. Was a lot slower than yesterday’s but was more about just getting through it tonight. Picked the least hilly route around near where I live. Having a bath and then a take away as a little treat tonight.
Back on it for run 3 tomorrow!
Run 4 done and now at the half way point! Another difficult run today with the heat, but felt slightly better than yesterday when finishing. That’s probably because I miss mapped my route yesterday and ended up doing 14 miles instead of the 13.1!
Listening to podcasts has been really helpful.
