Just when you think it couldn’t get any worse, the Tory b@st@rds and their mates trump themselves yet again.
Have a look at the box Morrison’s do for thirty quid. You could do better than that for three quid!
I’d rather the money was given to the parents even if some did go on “fags” and “crack dens” because it’s still a damn site more useful than those robbing b@st@rds giving it to execs and shareholder!!🤬

If you read through the comments you'll see vast differences in opinion. Some photos show parents appreciate of the food and the amounts which consist of far more than that photo.

A self confessed left winger in her title that cries outrage at the gay kiss in the cream egg advert and doesn't think much of Starmer.

Also a mental rant about claiming PIP further down..... i'd be hanging my hat on her she has no agenda at all :ROFLMAO:

Let's just consider the tweet without the comments and discuss whether that food package is 1) Sufficient and nutritious and 2) Value for money to the taxpayer.

Chartwells have said they will investigate and in fact they have been challenged to post an image of their 'full spec' food package so let's see what they come back with.

Why even bother trying to defend the indefensible when you can just smear *checks notes* a woman whose children are on FSMs?

The Conservative Party are once again stealing public money. Literally taking food from hungry kids' mouths to bung a Bob for their best bud's bunse. Focus on that.

He'd defend it if they were suggesting giving the poor the plague. Unfortunately blinkered to whatever the Tories do; regardless of which party you support anyone with an ounce of empathy would understand that this is totally unacceptable and another case of incompetence the likes of what we've never seen before from any government in British history. There isn't a day that goes by where they make it up on the spot, lie or make a u-turn. Hancock yesterday again said we are on target to offer 13m vaccines when infact he promised it would be 13m administered; he then defended Johnson on his bike ride (regardless of whether you think 7 miles isn't appropriate) he went in a car and then rode round on his bike against his own restrictions- do you think test and trace has been value for money at 22bn? People criticise the Labour party for fecklessness when it comes to spending however it's another myth created by the right to fit their narrative. Johnson and the Tories are in big trouble at the next election and here's hoping they're out of power for the next 20 years we might just reverse some of the utterly scandalous cuts to services that the very people these parcels are aimed at need.

A private company is being paid by us through this "Government" and that is supposed to be worth 30 quid.
Grabbing assholes.

If the photo is correct then that just can’t be right
A) that’s not sufficient food to feed anyone for ten days
B) the company providing it must have kept £25 for themselves.
What is Chartwells responsibility?
Do they source the food, pack the food and deliver the food ? If so then there are obviously some costs involved. Would be interested to know what they are paid per box.
If the picture is correct something needs to be done about this.

You don't have to look far to see what's going on unfortunately.

Chartwells, the company responsible for these food packages are part of the Compass Group the chairman of which is Paul Walsh.

Paul Walsh was part of David Cameron's business advisory group and is also a Tory donor.

Again, it's another contract handed out to Tory pals for them to cream money off from the tax payer.

Supermarket vouchers which cannot be used for alcohol and tobacco can't be that hard to print and distribute?
