How old is your username and how many have you had?

This is my 2nd ever username on FMTTM. The first was related to Jonathan Greening, I'll have changed to this when he left, so probably 2004. It'll coincide with me leaving the Teesside area and moving west.

I have no real idea when I started on FMTTM….
I had an account from the early days when people were talking about how the area used to be fields of mailing lists as far as the eyes could see…
I didn’t really like the old format and the cliques were even more cliquey than they are now…
I used the official MFC web pages forum but it was a bit sterile…
i moved back on here when they shut that one down, it was around a the time there was a blanket ban on the mention of a user who had been outed as a user of certain contact web sites…
I still daren’t mention his name, does anyone else remember that story?
I picked my name then as my old one was long lost… I’d say about 2000 🤷🏼‍♂️
I imagine someone wrote in their FMTTM note books one day that a new user had started posting and that they didn’t think he was going to be a problem but he might be rather chubby due to his shirt sizes…(it was the only boro top size I could get at the time I created my user name)
I often think that some people must read my posts and think, oh that’s a new user name… i blame those extended periods of incommunicado as I sailed under the Seven seas…. I like being a bit low key and am pleased I don’t take this place as serious as some do… there’s been some good old ding dongs on here in my time using it…

I first got my name in 1066 after coming over from France. A few Brits seemed to be against immigration and tried to block our small boats reaching Hastings. Anyway, we managed to get a shore but we then had arrows thrown at us. We threw some back and one gadgey received life changing injuries, I think it was his eye.

After that we seemed to get on alright but I think that incident might have given them the idea for Brexit.
Theres me, thinking you posted from the bar of a big iconic late 1960s Teesside pub at the top of Flatts Lane. :)

Only the one username for me too (apart from a few as the multi-poster "the_coat"). I think I joined sometime around 1999/2000 after a recommendation by The Goat. I was inspired to choose my username by the then popular Fatboy Slim wannabe "Midfield General" and did consider stealing the moniker, but anyone who has played FMTTM footy at Southlands with me would attest that I am definitely more of a goalscrounger than a midfield general!

Been on here since the v early days
Block 26 was a long runner, then a other I can't remember as forgot details

Few are not posting here mind as 1 or 2 regulars seem to "not remember anything ....or one "

Two different people. TC was one of the old crew from way back. I've never actually met him, but he was part of the fixtures and fittings of FMTTM, as were many others. There was a group (usually at night) of us who had a real good laugh.
Remember you well OBF-when I was DundeeJock I spent a lot of my night shifts talking mainly rubbish with you, Jax1 and a few others

Lots of people have. Nobody cares really.

When the board was really busy back in the day, there used to be loads of joke accounts that people used because Internet security wasn't really a thing. I think The_COAT had about 20 different people using it.

It is a strange environment and people come and go but over the years (I go back to the mailing list years) I have probably met well over a thousand people through this and not that many even recently as I've become less engaged and moved away.

Well, a big helllooooo to you DundeeJock, err I mean Jimmythequiz. I remember talking rubbish with you (and the old gang) too. Nice to know you're still around the place.

I'm still talking rubbish, except I'm more practiced at it now, so it's better quality rubbish these days 😆
