How much do we get for latte lath in the summer

I do not know if automatic is a given if we hang on to our better players and recruit wisely, but you would hope in that situation we have a better start(much better) than the last two seasons and that we would be more consistent over the course of the season than this one which hopefully would leave us in the top 6 at least come May, but its football and it is Boro so nothing is guaranteed.

For me he must stay, or what is the point any more.

To sell I would only accept a fee another club would not pay.
His value is more than just his importance as a player, it is his presence and lure to potential new signings and challenge to others thinking of leaving.
There is nothing like a goalscorer to ignite passion and optimism.
We saw that last season with Chuba and also Cameron Archer.
We remarked how long it had been since we had one like them.
Before Bamford you have to go back to Mark Viduka.

They are like hens teeth.

The irritation is that another club pitching in at £15m will tempt this regime, though LL was without doubt the thing Gibson showed most enthusiasm over on thursday night.
Cov held Gyokeres and made the play offs the following season.

Gibson said at that Q&A we didn't need to sell anyone didn't he? So anyone claiming we would "have to" cash in/sell must know more than the chairman.

That doesn't mean we won't sell of course, but you'd hope it'd have to be stupid money. What did Gyokeres go for in the end? £20m package with a big sell on clause?

On current form Lath could have just as good a season as Gyokeres (if not better) had next year, so why on earth would we accept anything less than that? Not to mention the fact our chances of promotion significantly increase with a 20+ goal a season striker and they're hard to find.

Saying "no" should actually be pretty easy, other than for a ridiculous bid.

Yes, while in the championship we will be a selling club. But there's a balance. I don't think it's unrealistic to look to hold onto most signings for a couple of seasons and then allow them to move on if they shine.

Gutting the squad every year would be counterproductive. You still end up selling your best players anyway, but if you hold onto them for more than 9 months at least get some use out of them first and they might just get you up.

Originally I got alves vibes from latte, no he's found his feet I think we have found a real gem. He now seems to score all type of goals which is rare. Composed when 1-1 with the keeper, I'd fancy him to score 8/9 times out of 10 in that situation.

Unless we get a ridiculous offer , say £35 mil + I'd keep for another season.

I'd also have plenty of targets lined up just in case

All conjecture really, as it will depend on who comes in for Latte. Imagine he would be keen to go if there was Premier League interest. Maybe we come to some kind of agreement that if he gives us another year we won’t stand in his way the following summer?

Strikers premium. Goal scorers are worth their weight in gold. I can see a few lower end prem or the promoted sides being interested. Palace, Brentford etc

£20m before we even discuss it.

£30m . He would suit the skunks to replace Wilson . Leeds And Leicester can't afford him even if they go up, Brentford won't pay the price , but Villa can and could and a couple more .

I think he will stay.

If premier or premier-lite clubs are taking our players after a great 10 game spell then we will never compete for promotion.
Buy low sell high, invest 75% of what we receive the squad value will go up and up until we have too much quality to avoid promotion any longer

Manny and Hayden won’t be going anywhere.

We might lose Seny and Rav though

A lot depends on the player. If a decent bid comes in, which I imagine would be in the region of £15m, and the player expresses a desire to leave then we won’t force him to stay.

As previously mentioned, we might try to persuade him to give us another season.

I’m fairly convinced that part of negotiations when signing these lads will be the promise of game time, development and the opportunity to move on if it comes about. It wouldn’t be right if we went against that.

I think this summer we can afford to Knock bids back after January outgoings and money not spent from not signing a striker previously. It’s more down to the players being settled and up for it . He get a pay rise .

Not gonna lie, much as I've really enjoyed his run of form lately, I think people are going well overboard about him here at the moment, quoting numbers like £20-30m and acting like clubs will be lining up trying to sign him this Summer seems mental to me.

I think it was obvious very early that he has all the attributes needed to be a top player.

He's rapid, 2 footed, makes brilliant movement to find space, amazing in the air and also has a fantastic attitude and work ethic.

20-30 million is a low value punt for a Premier league striker nowadays. He is easily worth the top end of that range.

Hopefully there won’t be any clubs lining up for 25 yr old 20 goals plus striker in the summer
