How much did you pay for your first Boro game?

Cant remember but my mam gave me the money in a satda, early 70's. How many widows with 8 kids could afford to do that now?

I think I paid the same in about 1961. Arrived about 12 o'clock for a 3 o'clock kick off.

1s 3d for children in the "Boys end" in 1959.

Well remembered, I had a shilling in my mind as a guess for 1958 so maybe I was right, or not far off.

When my son was 3 I carried him in the stand Infront of the boys end, even with the concrete stands holding him my arms were falling off.

The next game went into the seats, I paid for both of us. The bloke on the gate gave me his Money back .

Yes, sometimes jumped off a stop earlier incase conductor came.

First one I remember was 6 Shillings (soon to be 30 new pence) for SE corner - which my mum gave me, sometimes I got a squeeze and kept the cash and bought ICI shares with it and now live off the proceeds.

I use to get 50p to get the bus from Grangetown and back, a ticket into the ground, a programme and a boveril.
