How many players do you think will come in?

A lot of doom and gloom on the forums it seems for missing out on targets and not being able to get much over the line, I trust Neil Warnock and Steve Gibson to get it right

For me we will sign

2 permanent signings - Stewart and one other
3 in on loan - Roberts and 2 others

Promotion!

Another 5 (at least) are required without anyone leaving.

It seems a lot but there are a lot of players without clubs this year, probably 3 or 4 times more than normal. The Premiership will be keen to send fringe players out on loan and a lot of lower league players will be keen to move after their wages have been cut due to salary caps.

Not enough.

I think we'll sign 2 in the next week, but I also expect Fry to be shipped out and probably others, so we'll be treading water in terms of reinforcing the squad.

I reckon we will sign one more, loan one, and anything else will come in after the season starts. Youth stepping up to fill the gaps. Unless we move someone on in which case, depending who it is, could fund additional transfers.

That last line made me laugh.

I think a net influx of another 7 or 8 from now before the window finally shuts.
I think we will take the full loan quota of 5 in any case, with another 2-3 permanent signings.
If players leave - which I think they will - their number will be replaced too.
There is a lot to do yet.

I fear the best deals won’t be done until late September/early October which will leave us with the current squad to get us through those first few games.

That’s probably how it will go down, as the close of the window approaches clubs holding out for bigger fees will accept less to get some money in and free agents will start to lower their demands as they will be worried about not getting picked up at all.

Stojanovic/Pears

Dijksteel/JOEL LATIBEAUDIERE - Loan
Hall/Wood
Fry/BEN GIBSON - Loan
Johnson/Bola

Howson/McNair
Saville/Wing

Spence/JORDAN IBE - Free
Fletcher/PATRICK ROBERTS - Loan
Tavernier/Coulson

Assombalonga/ROSS STEWART - £3m

then maybe..

Paddy McNair - Kevin Stewart
Lewis Wing - the donny captai
Dael Fry - the ex spurs lad
Aynsley Pears - Dillion Phillips

and a left back? Max Clark?

Jordan Ibe is a worthless dog 5hit taco of a player.

The rest, who knows. seen Alex Bass linked somewhere, I'm not fussed on the financial implications of Gibson coming back, but would obviously welcome the player of two years ago with open arms.

We definitely need a proper left back, someone 'competitive' up front and some trickery / creativity who can take a set piece.

To raise funds for this? Britt & Fry?

Maybe.
