How long before Neil Warnock tells us the truth about Djed Spence?

Were you drunk when you wrote that? He's just won promotion from the Championship with Forest and signed for a Prem club, yet he's wasted his career according to you?

I think Charlie's point was that what you've outlined could well be his career high, and arguably he has the talent but not the attitude to build upon that.

I was at the play off final and he seemed to have a very good relationship with Lee Cooper, seeing them both after the game. He may be on the bench a lot for Spurs but surely signing for a Premiership club should be motivation enough to succeed? None of us know what went on between him and Warnock.

Steve's brother ? Or is that his Dad who managed to persuaded referees to give ridiculous decisions for his son time and time again?

It’s a shame because the lad clearly does have talent.

in years to come when he’s matured he’ll know he’s wasted by what could of been a very good different football career

Only on FMTTM could a player have an amazing season, win promotion to the Premier League, get a multi-million pound transfer to a big club with a top manager and be accused of wasting his career!

I guess Charlie from the internet knows better than the Spurs recruitment team and Steve Cooper.

Ah, so Spurs recruitment team have guaranteed that he'll be successful , if only they'd have done that when they paid £17million for say Vincent Jansen or the other flops.

Whilst nothing in life is certain, I would hazard a guess that the Spurs recruitment team are more knowledgeable than your average FMTTMer when it comes to identifying a decent player yes.

I don't think anyone has argued they aren't, however you seem to be suggesting that because Spurs have signed him then it guarantees he'll be a success.

I'm happy to be corrected if someone can quote where I indicated he'd be a guaranteed success. I just highlighted it was rather odd to suggest he has "wasted" his career based on a hypothetical scenario of him failing at Spurs.

Or indeed to suggest that just because he's signed for Spurs he'll be a success.

If his high point is signing for Spurs then arguably he's wasted his career, perhaps it will be perhaps it wont, but the poster was offering (albeit badly worded) opinion that he'll not go on to achieve much more.

Sessegnon has looked good under Conte at times last season (apologies if this was your point). If Spence listens and applies himself like he did at Forest, he can do very well under Conte.
I mean big things were promised when he left Fulham but largely was a bit part but looks like Conte rates him.

Could go either way
