To tell ya truth - a knew he and I were on our way out o Burra like, cus Paddy an Johnny said I couldnt handle big players, me like.
I wanted them to see me as a "Dad" figure like.
That Spenna said I was more like the grim reaper, so a told him to "go away"!
He kept using them slang werds like "bruv".
A told him he was a wassock, but he told me to talk English like.
He said I was losing me marbles like.
A wud av gen him a fourpenny one, but he moved too quick for me.
I blame them remainers.
Eee I love Steve Gibson me.
A built the best diffence in the league at Boro.

No one who is or was attached to the club will give you the real reason.

Ask yourself three questions:

1. Why would we let a very promising and talented player go out on loan to one of our rivals?

2. Why wasn’t he recalled by Wilder when putting in the performances he was and could have strengthened our promotion push?

3. Was this decision blocked above Wilder’s head and if so, why?

Why was he dropped at Fulham? Why were Boro so desperate to get rid of him?... Why after such a great season, did Forest opt to sign a arguably less proven Neco Williams for £17 million?

Why did Wilder publicly admit that no other clubs wanted him? Why did Conte publicly admit that he didn't really want him either?

As with most things, the situation with Spence is somewhere in the middle of the polar options of him.

What is pretty clear is that Fulham let him go, despite his talents, because of his applications, or lack of it.

We picked him up because we recognised that talent, despite the issues with him.

And this was what we saw when he broke through; obvious natural talent, but both Woodgate and NW openly questioned his application. The fact the former did so is telling for me, a manager who talked-up pretty much every player we had, with only one exception is my recollection.

And separately there's the issues of his mates at Rockliffe causing problems.

The lad has got a fantastic move one the back of his form last season, albeit I think there was a lot of media hype around his FA cup performances, but credit where it's due he looked a very good player at times.

All in all Boro took a chance on a talented kid with some questions around his discipline and we turned him into a £20m EPL player - the takeaway in all this is the credit Boro, and in particular Martin carter, should get over a fantastic piece of business.

He won't, unless he's prepared to say, "even, I asked djed for some cash to send im on tu pitch, andt little b***r said no, so I sent im away

1. Good question
2. Good question
3. Sh1t stirring speculation

A little rumour I heard, and again it's only a rumour, but it came from the very top that they wanted him out of the club and under no circumstances would he be allowed back. Pretty much taking the decisions out of Warnock's and especially Wilders hands.

You are so far wrong with your answer for question 3.

I stated on another post I can’t reveal what I know and mentioned the impact Spence’s actions have had. I really wish I could say more but my loyalty lies with loved ones and not football.
Well if you can't say more then don't mention it. That is almost the definition of stirring the sh1t.

Extending his contract by one extra year, perhaps as a condition to allowing him go out on loan to Forest in the first place, looking like a masterstroke in the plan to get rid.
