It's the business end of the window innitI wonder whether it's a coincidence that we've signed Engel and Lath, around the same time that we've sold Chuba.
Makes me wonder whether the club decided to commit to those deals, knowing that the fees could be covered from the fee that we would receive for Chuba.
After we had sold Tav last summer, we signed Clarke and Hoppe on permanent deals, and brought in Mowatt and Muniz on loan. We then brought Archer and Ramsey in on loan in January.
I have a feeling we'll go with a similar strategy. Sign one more on a permanent deal, two on loan and then we'll see what becomes available in January.
Blow the lot on Cameron Archer..
make up the rest of the squad with free agents and loans.
BISH BOSH BASH.. JOB DONEI maybe wrong but I think those days are long gone
That's probably because we spend massive amount of wages on loan players. In the last set of accounts, our wages were 108% of our income.
The Chuba money (and the Tav & Spence money) is already spent going towards covering wages for the existing squad.
It's going to be a very interesting end of the window. It's the business end of the window innit
Looks like we have a clearer idea of where we are going and what we want.. regarding the types of players etc.
This we should be receiving a lot of Spence and Tav money if payments are say spread over 2 years. They were sold 12 months ago. Notionally we received in a lot more last summer than we spent. At least £22.5m in, £5m spent? even if we counted loan wages it would be around £11m spent in total. There should also be £2.5m of add ons from Tav deal coming I would have thought - Tav was a regular and Bournemouth stayed up.From what we were told last season. We will receive a first payment £3-4m and we will try to balance that payment with spending a similar amount in the same month. We attempt to match the instalments incoming and outgoing as much as we can through contracts and seasons.
I have since re-evaluated my transfer window approach..I agree with those who say we should smash the whole lot on Cameron Archer. What could possibly go wrong with Boro blowing £12m+ and five years’ worth of wages on one striker.
Is Reggie Cannon real? We need to get him signed up if so. Along with Bolivian defender Doug Bollard.I have since re-evaluated my transfer window approach..

Not being funny, but are you actually a scout or involved with that in some way? Your encyclopaedic knowledge of footballers is remarkable.
