How bad is Drury ?

This day 35yrs ago against Southampton Gary Gill broke his leg....wtf has that got to do with today !!?
it was a bit weird I thought at the time but maybe he was just comparing the state of the game today to perhaps 35 years ago? Drury can go off track a lot I've noticed and even today you could tell that Maddo was getting slightly peeved with him. He's [sometimes] kind of childish and needs to stick to being a good commentator rather than trying to ridicule or make someone out to be stupid or maybe illiterate. Other than that I think he's fine but he needs to know when to stop reading into someone's appearance [MCs beard for instance], and just get on with the interview.

Inane drivel from Drury generally but Maddo is ok although why would anyone admit they don’t read books? Cringey
Exactly, I thought what is this guy on about and why bring up a subject about "last time you read a book?" I'd say maybe Drury needs to have a change of scenery as he clearly has concentration problems when the game [like today's] isn't that enthralling.

He brought it up knowing maddo would struggle to make a response. Hes nasty and condescending to maddo. Not the first time hes made or insinuated remarks about maddos intelligence on air.

A strange thing to be mulling over when Boro are sitting at the top of the form table. If the 'audio experience' is so important, why not focus on the mystery surrounding our stadium announcer, who is now a full on Mark Paige soundylikey?

He called Latte Lath's first goal a 'scuffed finish'...?? the man has a tv with replays and thinks it was scuffed?

Who's the lad after the match that reads the texts and emails? Loves a good little giggle over absolutely nothing that lad. Glad I only listen on an away day
