Any chance you could tell me why my post was removed, Rob? I'm not questioning the 'decisions' of admin. I know the rules. I just really don't understand it.

They should know it was his plan in the first place, and that then he stopped their removal, and that its only now when he's desperate that he ius saying his plan was :poop: and his cycle lane needs to be removed.

More public money wasted.
 
I think this episode is typical of Houchen, focussing on issues that capture public attention and raise his profile.

I don't hear anything about his plans too tackle child poverty, for example, which is at an absolutely shameful level locally.

I know that this approach is frustrating to the local conservative group too.
 
Where is the new Middlesbrough Mayor? Why haven't local Labour been able to come into the social media age? Why does everyone seem to never hear or see our representative? Why cant they go on the attack rather than sit back and watch mud thrown. Local Labour ALWAYS seem to be on the back foot. Right now you have to be both effective in running the town and be savvy with the marketing and optics. Its no good pretending only one of those options is good enough. This issue should be aggressively exploited. Its not good enough!

I hate the fact labour have to "go on the attack" This degradation of our politics should be consigned to being a Tory thing. In a dream world the Tories would do their usual nasty tricks and labour would gain traction by serving the people. I know that's not how it works, but it'll always be the dream

That's just the way it is. You either embrace it or fall by the wayside. Despite the wreckage left by the previous administration i 100% believe they would get in if an election were to be held tomorrow. Andy Preston was a master of communication. For all his faults at least people felt he let them know what was happening in the town and what his general perceived day to day was. The guy we have now is letting people down on that front. It's so basic it's excruciating to watch from the outside. It may have something to do with CC being from what I've seen, a poor communicator.
 
Houchen is a complete tool and thats being polite. He uses every opportunity to attack labour. One thing i will agree on is that the mayor promised if he was elected it would be removed within days. It is still there.
i dont have much faith in the new mayor, although i did vote for him. Anything had to be better than preston.
This still remains to be seen as of yet.
They're all as bad as each other regardless of party.

Why should they, aren't you capable of making your own mind up about what's been going on?

Do you really want a Tory style juvenile point scoring row that the gutter press (Echo and Gazette) can steer to suit Houchen?

They are just as bad as each other at the moment. I would have been voting Labour though. They might be ****, but the Tories are **** so it’s worth a punt.

It’s just a shame that’s all the left pretty much have to go on since Starmer tried to purge us.
