I reckon Hamilton would have won without the safety car.. I think even without the SC, it would have been a great end

Halo definitely saved him.
I think they will have to redesign the crash barrier and safety fence gap. If there had been a fire there was no chance of getting him out.

Just seen the highlights. What a race. Hamilton on absolute fire. Happy for Sainz to get the first win of his F1 career. Well deserved ultimately even after the team orders to switch with Le Clerc. Those final few laps were so e of the best racing we've seen in years.
 
I don't think enough was made about both Red Bulls driving cars clean off the road towards the end of the GP. I wonder how many stewards own Honda dealerships?
 
At least the stewards were consistent yesterday, Charles was driving like at idiot at the beginning as well which caused the damage to his car.
 
Such a horrific crash, glad to see he walked away unscathed. Incredible really, the safety measures in place have proven to be effective. amazing really that there were people that didn't want the halo.

I loved the race, the best of the season for me. It shows with a decent circuit how much more action you get. Great to see Merc and Hamilton bouncing back, it was always going to happen, it was just a matter of time. I think he'd have got the win had it not been for the SC. It shows how powerful the RB is with Perez coming from the back of the grid. Their floor must be insane after seeing how Max's car just fell away like that.

I thought Ferrari was going to ruin it when they couldn't make a decision.

It's nailed on for Max to win it, but It's great to see Merc and Ferrari still bringing the fight to them.
 
I think it’s disappointing that people keep the cameras rolling after the car comes to a stop and continue to jostle for position. A sign of where modern society is at and a trait I do not like

If they stop red bull using their illegal floor max might struggle as yesterday showed. If it was any other team they would be docking points are banning immediately not "oh we'll wait until France and take a look"

Not quite true. What were Ferrari doing with their engines a few seasons back? An investigation, a top secret report, they weren't doing anything wrong but were suddenly a lot slower.
