Next position to guess is an easy one I think - centre forward (number 9). As usual the playing position is more important than the number.

I have a soft spot for Hughie McIlmoyle. As I think he was the first centre forward I saw regularly. When my dad used to get me in on a squeeze.

I did Google a list of them and we have had some good ones and some stinkers.

I think Erimus74 will go for John Hickton.

Easy one for Erimus, so I'll go with the obvious big John Hickton.

As Hickton was finishing just as I started going, think I saw his last game, my personal favourite is Mark Viduka, but I also have a soft spot for Archie Stephens!

Well spotted. Sorry I missed typing that. My fault. I wrote it down on my crib sheet. Then did not type it into the latest document. I will correct it in the results for tomorrow.

UPDATED: I had typed the Maddren scores in column 4 instead of 5. So it is there. Just in the wrong column. Will be corrected for tomorrow.

Remember going to his testamonial in the 70s when Bobby Charlton played in a warm up game if I remember it right. Big John hat trick in a 6-1 win v Sunderland as main event though!

I am sort of looking forward to a round 2 of this 12 day series. With the worst being selected. As I think we might get a bigger variety of answers.
