Hi Ren

He is very, very talented and incredibly versatile too.

Watched a lot of his stuff and it’s so diverse.

Very interesting back story too and he’s still getting medical treatment in Canada.
 
I posted it on the Rap thread. Think I have watched every reaction video of HI REN on you tube and all his songs. Hope he gets the help he needs as his music is top notch. I think Sony dropped him because of his mental health issues
 
His output is top notch, Hi Ren was the big impact song that had his name on everyone's radar and deservedly so.
Gifted for sure but with a history that means he has very serious issues he is combating daily, as someone said above he has gone to Canada for further treatment, and i sincerely hope he gets the help he needs.
 
I started listening to it and thought it was going to be an earworm song when he first started making noises and nearly turned it off. I stuck with it and just thought 'wow' by the end of it. He was clearly describing what many on here are going through to a degree that everyone could understand.

I may post some more on here as his output is quite extrordinary.

The only reason most people havent heard of him is because he is an independent artist so therefore the mainstream media (eg BBC Radio 1) don't get any payola from playing him.

His album Sick Boi went straight to number 1 in the UK album charts. A great album.

I found out about Ren around 18 months ago, I’m still finding pieces I’ve never heard and I’m rarely disappointed. Suicide is an awesome song and, I think, the first time a song that brought me to tears. Troubles is also incredible but his cover of back on the 74 really highlights his talent and versatility.
I introduced him to some friends on a car journey with a playlist. They couldn’t believe it was one artist.
 
An absolute genius, a lyrical master, his music defies genre. An absolutely incredible human being too.

I had the privilege of seeing him perform at sgp this year, his first live performance in five years(due to his health treatments/issues) It was everything I hoped it would be.

His YouTube channel is really worth looking at as dropping new music every week and his back catalogue is immense.
 
The guy is a Genius with a huge catalogue. I only discovered him about 6 months ago. I cant get enough of him, he covers almost every genre of music and excels in every one.

Heard he was a bit rusty at SGP. First big gig in a while and was continually questioning the sound engineers?
