Here we go then… team vs Millwall

Looks like a lot of walking wounded. Carrick hinted that Forss is on his way back. Pretty sure O'Brien is not fit enough to start. Probably going to end up with

Bench: whoever is fit.

Looks like RVDB, Fry and Clarke are all being rotated to preserve their fitness. Think we might see O'Brien and Forss on the bench plus a selection from last night's injuries depending on their severity.
 
I wouldn't drop fry - thought Fry was excellent last night, he get stick sometimes for the odd error but we rarely praise his goal saving blocks or when he comes across to cover when his partner gets beaten and sticks in a challenge - he did that against villa and Chelsea several times. The way we play now is a different world to Wilder and previous manager but Fry has adapted really well which says a lot about his quality on the ball.

Fry is like Ben Gibson was for us, better suited when you're sat in and you get to head stuff away all game, you rarely get faced up 1v1.

When we're pushing high up and he's left more exposed is when he doesn't look as good.
 
Greenwood will probably play due to the fact that we are stretched very thin, but he has been quite poor recently and at any other time would be on the bench. I hope he turns things around.
 
Think we'll see a few get a rest. Maybe Barlaser and Jones. Tough call for the two centre backs, as all 3 were excellent last night. We might see RVDB get a rest too though. Bench is certainly starting to look a bit stronger. We'll have Greenwood, Rogers and Azaz to come in, and who plays up front is anyone's guess.

He's happy cutting in from the left as well apparently, so him left and Rogers central would seem to make more sense (if he does start). I'm sure they'll rotate a bit anyway.

I'd be a bit surprised if he starts immediately though we might have no choice. If Jones is fit then we'll probably start with Greenwood-Rogers-Jones
 
I wouldn't be surprised if we see a bit of a cup hangover on Saturday. Often happens after such a big performance. Players will be exhausted physically and mentally and now need to travel to London.
 
Wonder how mcnair and dijksteel are doing or will they be out the door this month, feels like they both could leave this month?

I think McNair could go. But it feels like every window will be his last.

I'm not sure about Dijksteel. We are still short at RB. Smith out till end of season and then out of contract. I'm not sure we'd let Dijk go unless we sign a permanent RB as well.

I would guess the certain starters will be Glover, Rogers, Greenwood, Ayling (assuming he passes a medical) and Azaz, the rest will most likely be picked on who is the least nackered in each position :ROFLMAO:

Is Greenwood striker if so not sure about him holding the ball up and working his nuts off, think I would prefer Crooks if Lath and Coburn are knackered

Yeah more a false 9 type Striker. He reckons it’s his position. Maybe a chance for him to play there
 
Not Greenwood any position, but no doubt he will be selected based on the injuries and tired limbs of the players last night

Yeah that’s why I think he will play this one. If he does play it’s a big game for him as we have options now so he won’t be an automatic pick
 
3 games in a week will be difficult for a lot of the team, especially after the intensity of Villa/Chelsea...

I think Hackney, Crooks and Howson will be rested...

We might see a few more minutes for Kavanagh too - and hopefully Ayling on the bench.
 
Our main problem will probably be who to play up front - can’t see any of our genuine forwards being fit enough to play. I’d definitely have Ayling straight in there at the back though.
