Heathrow Flights return to Teesside

Good for if you're flying onwards somewhere overseas from the area, and vice versa. A step in the right direction for sure.

Not sure why the negativity, the area has needed this back for years.

I've flown Teesside to Heathrow and onwards in the past for work- I think it was through BMI at the time. Was a really quick and useful connection. I think having it available can only be a good thing.

For a day out in London for a jolly it is not going to be of much use, but I presume the idea of a route like this is more a business link than a social one. Perhaps not great timing for a lot of business though due to the technology advances in meeting.

I don't know who on Earth would think that flying would be a good option for "a day out in London" in the first place.

It will be really useful for those living further overseas (US/Aus/Asia) to be able to come back and visit the area directly, rather than having to go to Ponteland from Heathrow.

I would be interested, but only if it's all one booking. I wouldn't want to have to handle my baggage at Heathrow.

It is fantastic news and a great start.
London is obviously massive and so it really does depend on where you want to go around London.
I used to work not far from the airport and there was no comparison between plane to Teesside or chowing on with underground or often worse a cab across to KX for a train.
If they get the sweet spot this small plane will be full and able to expand service to more flights.

It is not designed to attract leisure fliers yet. More flights will allow the capacity to price for that later.
So if you are west side of London, support it and use it versus the KX train.

I am sure this will be good for Teesside Airport, and Teesside generally.

I don't understand why some people seem so resentful. If you can't afford it then don't go, but don't condemn anybody else who uses the service.

Used it when I was working in Reading but for London the train is faster.

Good for those flying out on business from Heathrow but we already had the link to School with KLM.

Have a look at Eastern Airways ticket prices to Aberdeen pre-Covid for a clue on the price.
