Heathrow Flights return to Teesside

It's great but wait until the price rockets.

Starting at £55 sounds all good and well, but no doubt that price will only be available for a 3am flight with only 3 seats available at that price.

£55 each way - how much is the train? I would imagine by the time youve gone out to the airport and got into London from Heathrow the journey time would be similar.

If the prices are similar I think I'd choose train over flying anyways. Probably just as quick and better seating for friends and family (y).

Depends where you want to be in London, and whether you use the bargain Heathrow Express to get into Paddington, and how long it takes to get your 2nd mortgage approved to get the Heathrow Express in the first place.

Good for if you're flying onwards somewhere overseas from the area, and vice versa. A step in the right direction for sure.

Not sure why the negativity, the area has needed this back for years.

Yeah if you've got the time, but then go back to the posters point about it being no more time effective than getting the East Coast Main line.
True. It’s almost the reverse of what you expect. Flying is cheaper than going by train most of the time. It’s longer though

Think it will be popular with business men. Glad its back but after using Eastern to fly to Aberdoom for years their prices are crazy for a not very good service. Stopped using them when I was old enough for senior railcard and my check-in times changed. Retired now so matters not.
