I never understood the Pools. Something my Dad would curse over on a Saturday teatime because there weren't 8 score draws?

I used to pore over the form for hours each weekend and make (I think) 12 selections. This was for my Mum’s office syndicate at ICI. They won a decent prize, one week, and they decided to buy me a new bike as a thank you!

Could not remember us ever playing Lincoln but apparently we have played them 23 times but not since 1961 which is even a bit before my time

I used to do the pools coupon and Spot The Ball for my grandparents every Sunday in the 1970s. Don't think I ever got 8 score draws (or if I did, I never saw a cut of the money )
