Have we had any information on the number of cases of COVID from matches restarting?

Haven't heard anything from the authorities in terms of whether there has been an increase in cases.

Has anyone seen any figures? Surely it's something that would be monitored for future use.

had heard of a few people who thought they'd been infected at Derby away.

I got covid at the QPR game, either at the pub or in the ground.
Impossible to say where exactly so I guess no way to produce statistics.
The one thing I do know for definite was I gave it ti my wife:sick::sick::sick:

Would the infections be from the matches, the public transport or pre-match pubs? All possible problematic situations.
Well, I imagine all three are possible. It appears to be an environment, like all sports venues, where masks aren't worn by the vast majority of people.

We might see some jumps in infections once schools go back next week. Scotland did.

I would guess the only way to measure is look at rates and what has changed, socially to drive any change in infection rates.

The scrum that's the two-carriage Northern train out of Middlesbrough after the match has me thinking that I'll just bring the car in future.

I was just thinking about it this morning. There's a group of us meeting for Coventry and we are all travelling from different areas.

I went to the 'test event' at Edgbaston earlier in the summer and everyone had to say they'd had a negative result before being allowed in but that was carnage in The Hollies; but I've seen no data since then.

I was wondering whether it's just a case of hoping for the best as far as sporting events goes.

Is that the 2 carriages that twice now have been announced as being a 4 carriage train where only the front 2 go beyond Newcastle?! But then it turns up and it's only 2 carriages as always?

I unwittingly had Covid at the Bristol City game, it's possible, though unlikely, that I passed it on.

I was catching up with some people who had been to Green Man Festival and several had been pinged. But in nearly all cases they were people who had used the coaches, shuttle buses and other forms of transport where they were in close proximity with other festival goers for a protracted period. There was a similar spike after Boardmasters Festival and again it correlated with public transport usage.

I know at the Riverside I felt uncomfortable in the crowded concourse and hurried straight through. Which might be just psychological on my part.

Dont think the data will be collected to know without people having to check into a venue anymore

No - regular 2 carriages for Darlington/Bishop Auckland.

A lot of people I know have turned off the app but most places aren't making you check in, regardless.

In my office, the boss told us to turn up for work and take a test, if we got pinged.

The pinging is pretty much irrelevant now, anyway, isn't it?
To an extent, but it shows that they were in close proximity to someone who had tested positive for CV19. Some have subsequently tested positive themselves.

My nephew was at Boardmasters but went by car and has had no notifications (he has only had a single jab - but has previously had CV19 at Uni)

For the first home game I took the Darlington to Middlesbrough train and it was only two coaches and pretty scary. Rammed, people shouting and very few people wearing masks. It was like they thought it's all over. Stupid really for a short journey like that not to be considerate enough to wear a mask. So I'm not going that way for the time being. And I found Fulham away pretty scary until I moved so I'm giving away matches a swerve for the time being. Home matches have felt OK though.
