Have we ever gazumped anyone?

When Juninho returned (for the first time I think it was) I remember there was a picture of him leaving Villa Park and we were convinced he was going there.
But he didn't. Obviously.
 
I always thought we'd done well to convince Adomah to come north when there must have been a few clubs interested in his signature after Bristol City's relegation. But I don't actually know how many clubs made a bid for him, so I might be wrong. And it's not a gazumping either - but I just wanted to mention a time when I thought Boro had pulled off something decent.

A mate of mine who's a Wigan fan was certain he was heading there.
So I think we gazumped them, great buisness by Mogga
