Has anyone switched to an "Ethical" Bank ?

like you, I'm solely with monzo & starling now, but it does bother me that if there was a major issue, there is no-one you can phone if all else fails. the jury is out on monzo's customer service, it could be improved. that said.... I love monzo, best bank I've ever had!
I had an issue with fraud where I had a notification that £350 had left my account with starling, I immediately sent a secure message and had a response in 2 minutes with the issue fixed not long afterwards.

The notification system is what drew me to starling and I have had no regrets.

Also with starling and Monzo
Have wages paid into starling and all DD’s paid from there, but starling only pay 0.2% interest on account balances, so shift what’s left to Kroo, that’s another current account but they currently pay 4.1%

I have a Starling account, mainly to use abroad. Works well for me. I had an issue last year where Carrefour took the upfront charge for fuel (think it was €120) and also the amount the I drew (€97) but failed to refund the upfront cost. Starling sorted it within 48hrs.

Am still with Co-op, but looking at "ethical" banks like Triodos and Starling.
Since the Co-op was bought out of American Hedge-Funders its less and less easy to contact them and they appear less customer friendly.
Anyone got any experience +/or in one of these banks.
Any good?
I’m with starling I didn’t realise it was ethical. Fastest account opening (2 days) and very slick app. So far so good!

Define ‘ethical’

"What Is Ethical Banking?

Ethical banking is the practice of choosing financial institutions that implement socially responsible investment policies and business practices.
A more socially conscious bank may, for example, have a policy against investing in carbon-generating sectors or businesses that engage in exploitative labor practices.

Some banks invest in companies or organizations focused on environmental sustainability, community development or social justice. These banks are typically transparent about their business practices as part of a holistic commitment to their stakeholders."

You can have more than one bank account! Keep the Co-op and try others or use it to get a switching bonus, go to https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/bank-accounts/ to see the latest range. I've got a dozen current a/cs inc Co-op, Smile, Nationwide who all have some sort of ethical standards. I use the other current accounts for switching to get switching bonuses (over £1000 in past few years) and have no loyalty towards any of them. I'm presently switching Virgin to TSB to get £125 all for a few mins online. Then after I've got it I'll switch it elsewhere for more free money
