I don’t usually drink in the house but tempted to get some unique lagers or beers , although I need to watch the penny’s as we don’t know how long this will go on

I really struggle with unique lagers and beers. Everything is too hoppy. It's almost like it's turned into a curry eating contest where anything less than a phal is unacceptable.
To me it tastes like someones added multiple bunches of flowers during the brewing process.

Theakstons OP (in moderation) for me.

beer52's good, but delivery can seem to take ages. most of the breweries have very good websites where you can order, so a good time to try something different. I've just this minute ordered 12 cans from gypsy hill, for under ÂŁ30 incl free delivery. they are also running a scheme where you can buy beer for nhs workers at the same time as placing your order.

also a good time to support your local breweries.... altho most seem to be doing pretty well tbh

Play Brew over at Cannon Park - near sorting office - have got a takeaway service on.
They have some really good craft beers of their own.

Never usually have drink in the house. Buy a box for New Years incase any one pops round and chuck most of it out in September.
However bought some the other day and have enjoyed a couple in the garden tonight. Hoping its nice tomorrow and will do the same again. Hope I don't become a plonky .

Yep, a few cases of Beavertown Gamma Ray with the Ocado order, and my local breweries (2 within a mile) do home doorstep delivery and so been utilizing that service too.

Can't believe that!!! Can't seem to copy and paste! Throwing out booze bought at Crimbo in September!?!

I use a website called Flavourly. Good value and excellent quality. A range of ipas, porters, amber ales, red ales, lagers etc. It's good value. If you get one of the many frequent deals it generally works out about ÂŁ1.10 per can, including delivery, which when you consider the equivalent in Tesco is ÂŁ1.70 it's worth it for the quality. In my opinion.

Love a good IPA or dark beer from czech/hungary. The beer here in finland is mostly p!ss-like in quality or deadly expensive (or both), unfortunately (n)

Have a quick look at @PeteBrownBeer on twitter a really good beer writer who has spent the last couple of weeks using his feed to promote as many of the smaller brewers and cider makers who are offering a delivery service as possible

A good challenge is to try and see if you can drink a beer from every state in the US. I started it more than 5 years ago, and am still about 10 states away (and that included living in California for 3.5 years too).

Or you could try a beer from every European country, which I may try next when I finally finish my American journey.
