Harry Maguire

We have been to a final, a semi, and quarter final with him in the team.

I have no issue with playing for England as I think he’s good enough too but if he continues to sit on the bench for Manchester United then there will become a time it’s not feasible to keep playing him. Come January Phillips and Maguire just change clubs to get in the side for the Euros.

Stones and Dunk would be my pairing right now.
 
He played well tonight, nothing outstanding but no mistakes. He was put under pressure with Trippier sitting off his man and had to step out to support on a few occasions.

I would also go with Stones and Dunk but no issues with Maguire.

He doesn't seem in too much of a hurry to move.

He was been found out recently, he was at fault for Girouds winner in the the last World Cup. He was also destroyed in the nations league repeatedly.

Absolute rubbish man. Giroud got fractionally ahead of him from a fantastic cross by Griezman. A forward getting slightly in front of a defender has happened to every defender in history from Beckenbauer to Maldini. That is no way him being found out and no one who has any knowledge of football would think so
The entire England team were awful in the nation's league not just Maguire, if they are the games that we judge England players on we'd have to drop them all.

Can't really ask for more tbf. We do need to find a proper long term partner for Stones though
 
Just because we qualified doesn't mean I have to say he played well. He's England's weak link, can't pass, gave the ball away, Dunk is such a better player he must think why doesnt he get a game.
 
We all know by now that Southgate doesn't pick players based on club form - he picks players who he trusts.

In fairness, Stones and Maguire do have a great understanding with one another, and have pretty much been our CB pairing at the last 3 tournaments, in which we've reached a SF, F and QF.

He’s been poor since the last euros for
Club and country, trying to claim otherwise is simply a joke he was clearly at fault for Girouds goal and youve literally just admitted that Giroud got ahead of him yet the guys older than the dinosaurs, his job was to mark Giroud he failed and it cost us. Along with Kanes penalty kiss.

Got to love a passive aggressive response claiming others have no knowledge, I suggest you look in the mirror Mr Keyboard Warrior.
