Harry Kane

Scores again for Bayern Munich.

Another great penalty too. 17 out of 17 for Bayern. Has scored his last 26 penalties too.

Hope he wins the Bundesliga this season.
I hope so too. Bayer are looking ominously good again though so it will probably be tough going.

Why’s that strange? I just don’t think he’s the world class player that people like to make him out to be and I feel he limits the teams he plays in, despite his obviously excellent goalscoring ability.
He may not be Messi or Ronaldo but he’s absolutely among the best strikers of his generation. What more do you want from him than a career average of 2 goals in 3 games with consistent assists on top?

England’s all time record goal scorer. Scored over 200 league goals for Spurs. Keeps scoring at a rate for Bayern Munich. Most goals in a Champions League season for an English player. But yeah, he’s not very good!

So you don't want him to win a trophy in his career because you want to be able to use it in your argument about thinking he's overrated?

To the point that you'd be gutted if he won anything.

That absolutely is strange.

Kane is only three club goals short of Shearer's career club total of 379 goals.....AND...... Kane has played 146 fewer games..... So I don't think anyone can say he has limited Spurs or Bayern Munich...... He has scored the fastest 60 goals in Bundesliga history in a team that finished second last year (team that won I think were unbeaten all season in the league - don't think that was Kane's hindrance) and this year his team will win the league.
He has also scored 71 goals for England which absolutely eclipses every striker in the history of English football..... And he had captained an England team in two finals, a semi final and a quarter final...... No other England footballer in the history of our game has done that.
I would say...... You are probably referring to his lack of pace and in the last Euros he was carrying an injury........ His lack of pace doesn't seem to stop him scoring goals and England progressing in tournaments....... To conclude he limits teams but scores goals is just a contradiction...... Who would score the goals if he didn't play?
And perhaps the issue is solely England...... And perhaps the tactics and how the team set up have been the issue...... Can't blame the striker who has scored 71 goals for that.
Not all world class players need to run like the wind.
I tell you how good he is....... When he retires we'll spend the next generation talking about the next Harry Kane, some people don't know what they've got, till it's gone.
And on top of all of that...... He is incomparable in his professionalism..

No doubt Kane is a top class striker.

Obvs lacks pace. But he’s a model pro, great guy, intelligent movement, reasonable size and strength, composed in front of goal and above all - an unbelievable striker of the ball (with both feet!!) which of course means he not only scores lots of goals but gets plenty of assists including some amazing passes.

Personally I think he would have been even better in the 442 era, playing in the ‘10’ role. Imagine him alongside another physical, pacey or poacher striker. Would have been some combination up top. Kane alongside the likes of Shearer, Owen, Wright/Cole etc.
