I know that this is being used by Telegraph, GBeebies, and the Reform Party as a springboard to condemn lockdowns during a pandemic, but all it shows to me is that we were being led by the very worst people at the very worst possible time (basically the Brexit/UKIP Party in all but name).

They didn't have a clue what they were doing, were acting with next to no compassion, the moron PM had to be reined in by the scientific advisors every time he read a full article in a newspaper, and they were all more concerned about their own appearance in the media than the greater good of the country.
