How much has he actually improved Man City? Never known a striker at that level have so little involvement in games. For me it isn’t worth his goals to basically play with 10 men for 95% of games
 
I agree with JM14. He will score boatloads but he makes the team worse. As a team they’ve scored roughly the same as at this point last season but have conceded loads more. That’s because they don’t have the same control of games as before. Why? Because their number 9 is a passenger for most of the game.
 
He absolutely makes them worse. They’ll roll the lesser teams with him but in the big games he’s getting like 20 touches of the ball compared to Jesus or whoever they’ve played up front lately who gets 60+.

You’d bet Pep would be able to coach him to get more involved in the game but he’s a long way off at the moment.

The difference between someone like him and Kane is huge in games like this. Haaland will get 30+ goals easy every season but it’s noticeable how easily he goes missing in a game like this.

No matter how good a player is no side can justify a player having a handful of touches every game
 
Watching him tonight reminded me of a radio debate between Ali Brownlee and Bernie Slaven many, many years ago about Ravanelli, when Bernie was discussing whether you would define Ravanelli as a great player or great goalscorer.

Kanes a better ‘footballer’ no doubt. He’s absolutely class at pretty much everything.
