At the beginning when the players were walking in, it looked to me like Greenwood thought someone was shouting him so he went to wave, realised his mistake and turned it into a nose scratch instead.
Bless. I felt sorry for him.
And it was obviously on his mind during the game 🙄
 
There were kids there (possibly Hull mascots) who were saying players names - they say “Dijksteel” a couple of seconds later.
So I think Sam was genuinely waving at the kids, then genuinely had an itchy nose!
 
Greenwood is going to be ok, Leeds will probably go up, his wages will double, he will be loaned out again, hopefully improve with experience at his next club? And he has enough about him to have a great career in football, which will be in championship.

Just not good enough at this moment in time for a club chasing the play offs.
 
The thing about Sam, if he was one of our own highly rated players like Finch, McCabe or Cartwright and they were playing their first season of first team football for us, we'd have spent the first half of the season raving about his potential, the second half feeling sympathetic as he's obviously playing out of necessity and is finding it tough.
Some of the abuse he gets is completely unwarranted, especially as it seems from a couple of the above posts he's a good egg, and he's 21.
