Great rivalries

Like I said you get more passionate games which are in part bigger due to coming from larger cities and countries, which actually doesn't mean a lot, it is just form of out pouring of self importance but as great rivalries go Celtic V Rangers is it, it has everything it encompasses the whole spectrum -political, religion, national identity. El classico has more going for it than the Buenos Aires Derby match, and it's not just about their global brand image, what it means to the average person in their traditional heartlands is more than that, but I still give the Old Firm the edge.

Alien v predator
Peter Griffin v that giant chicken
England v RoW in pretty much anything
North v South
Ferrari v Porsche 911 (GT racing)
Senna V Prost

I just can't see how anyone can argue against the River/Boca rivalry as the biggest rivalry in football. It's clear to me. It's not just football but territorial, rich v poor. Have you ever seen how intense it gets? To argue that the old firm is better sounds really UK-centric. No one outside of this country would say that
