Great result but that was putrid.

Just on train back to Leeds. For all we have played well and lost games we were so poor tonight it was untrue. With the exception of Bangura and Coburn when he came on there wasn't much to shout about. Silvera had a decent first half.
Still three very good points.

Couldn't disagree more.

We tried to play football in the first half and were unlucky not to be in front.

Second half we were knackered but battled away when they came at us again and again and weathered the storm.

Then we took our chance when it came. Awesome team spirit.

It was all about the points last night. Credit to Huddersfield as they really got on top of Boro. We just about survived and somehow got a winner.

Proud to be a Boro fan last night, the atmosphere when the winner went in was amazing. From the incredulous moment of Jones miss, the penalty then the winner was like being on the ‘Big One’.

Seems that the same people who moan when we play well and lose are the same ones who moan when we play badly and win.

I think Man City might be the team for you.

Don't really see the issue?
We did not play well last night.

Even Carrick admitted as much.

It's a big win, but it doesn't magically make it a good performance because we got 3 points.

It was comfortably our worst in the last 7 days, what's the problem with discussing that?

A lot of tired players - Jones in particular was dragging himself around tonight. We need Forss back to spread the load.
It may have been tiredness but I thought Jones lost heart / confidence after his miss and stopped looking for the ball. Not much outlet down the right for the rest of the first half at least.

Probably the use of the word putrid tc. It wasn't a great game and difficult to watch for long spells but we have played much worse than that this season.

It wasn’t a football show piece but it was far from putrid…

The BBC leeds commentary team said it wasn’t a bad contest…

I know we want our team to be invincible but that’s a far off dream…

Jones like some of the other players has not had a break for weeks over a very busy Christmas schedule.

A fair number of them are probably carrying knocks as well but can't be rated as we don't have many options at the moment.

It had been a remarkable run of games from pretty much the same players week in week out. We should applaud that rather than criticise.

Yeah, and and those bad performances were also discussed.

No need for condescending and telling lifelong Boro fans they should go support Man City if they didn't enjoy ours last night.

We were playing a team who are struggling far more than we are, and have more injuries than we do too, so it's not like it was against the odds either.

We are running on empty, using what would have been bit-part players in the 1st 11 week in and week out. With this in mind, that was a great 3 points, with no recognised striker fit enough to start.
