As we approach the mid way point in the season it’s time to mark it in the old school manner

From A+ to F

Over to you
 
It's tricky primarily because of injuries meaning that results haven't matched expectations.
Total change in transfer policy direction this season to focus on buying in younger players which is a positive. It was unlikely that 2/3 of a new team would gel instantly. Some massive positives in the signings particularly Dieng and VDB.
My initial thought was C but I think I'll go B- with room for improvement. Hopefully a few recovering from injury and some reinforcements in January will bring a major boost.
 
Well we are above where some predicted at the start of the season and bellow where some others thought. All things being equal that would get you a C. Given the injury list holding us back it has to be a B, doesn't it?
 
C-.

Awful start, a nice 6 winning game run and then another awful run.

We're all over the place defensively, and profligate in front of goal.
Still with a chance of the play-offs at the halfway point, especially if we win on Saturday, so it's not been as damaging as it could have been.

Injuries have blighted us, but there are so many that I start to question whether it's just bad luck.

I would argue that our performances don't quite match the results - not that we've been unlucky but we haven't made the most of our opportunities (and the injuries) - I can see the potential there. And we had a lot of turnover in the summer so that has to be taken into account.
 
D for the club overall.
Very poor recruitment with emphasis on quantity over quality.
Disappointing results and league position.

C for the manager. Dealt a bad hand by recruitment and injury, but hasn’t appeared as inspiring as last season, with some strange decisions.

Perhaps we need a separate thread to rate peoples' expectations.
 
B for me.
To be only 6 points off the play offs with the injuries is good going. Some of the new signings haven’t really been deserving of a regular starting spot but in cameos have shown potential. If we get a good January we have a good chance of play offs
 
C for me, injuries have completely derailed us at present, I feel with a fully fit team we'd easily be in the playoff spots. If we can get players back and a reasonable striker in then playoffs are still realistic.

I see some promise in most of the young players we brought in.
I had hoped to be better off than we are, but the injuries have been bad.

We don't have the punch up front we had last year, but we have adopted a longer term approach this year.
However, the defensive organization does concern me.
