You're so right! I keep reading about four or five players! Ridiculous! The squad was light and unbalanced last season and look at all the players we've lost in the close season! We need first teamers AND squad players.
 
Worrying times, I know the transfer window is still open for some time but the good business is usually done early doors, we really need to start seeing a statement of intent coming out of the club but seems we are operating on a very tight budget, is Championship survival our new ambition???

Sounds like Warnovk has offered what he thought the player was worth, hasn’t budged in his valuation and someone has come in with a better offer.
 
Don’t panic people - these are the strangest of tines - I expect there will be a last minute rush due to players holding out for unrealistic salaries. I trust Warnock to improve the team with some shrewd business.
As others have mentioned the market is quiet at present.

seems strange and possibly a false economy given we had a bid if £2m or thereabouts accepted for Moore - I’d argue CB is a more pressing need than a target man striker

Maybe Brentford are simply more attractive a draw than we are at present; just missed out on the PL, in the smoke, etc.
