I just disagree.
Gyokeres - the real deal.
Riis - a cheaper alternative or back up to him
Joao - a very good player if we keep him fit
Twine - looks interesting/exciting
Archer - likewise
Armstrong - over achieved in that season
Gayle - past it

Lenihan - A ‘captain’ comfortable on the ball, commanding and dominant centre half.

Would be happy with all them. But, we need to make sure that our GK signing is a permanent signing. I'm worried we will blow all our loans before we get to CFs, and we really need 3 of those, they're expensive to buy.

Think we will see lots of movement this week. Spence to go, maybe these four and the first CF in.

Armstrong needs a confidence rebuild
Gyokerees maybe is over rated by this board, but still a good prospect
Twine is the new James Maddison not Lewis Wing, Wing was a poor footballer with a good shot, Twine is a talented kid that can score from outside the box regularly

We both agree that Gayle is past it, we both see Twine and Archer as prospects albeit one has a preference over the other.

Gyokeres may well be the real deal.. the transfer fees being banded about suggest that he is tried tested and proven, I’m not sure that top end fees can be justified yet.

Armstrong has a championship track record of scoring goals, I’d prefer taking him on loan over a hugely inflated fee for Gyokeres.

Armstrong on loan and Gyokeres for a decent fee.. OOF! Stick Archer into the mix and we’re cooking with gas!!!!!!

Maybe I should have put a question mark after the new Lewis Wing.. also I thought Lewis Wing was better than a lot make out on here. The new James Maddison would be a great addition to our squad.. but it’s a bold statement to make early doors!

Hull seem keen at least, yearning to fill a Jarod Bowen sized goal contribution hole.
 
We certainly need to spend cash on someone , it doesn’t look like itl be a keeper unless Henderson changed his intentions. We could do with bedding someone in with the prem in mind up front

No he really would't. Ive never seen a lad look such a fish out of water at Soton. He has absolutely no touch and can not finish.
His one season for Blackburn? File with the lump Murphy who went to Newcastle from Ipswich.
He is really poor.

Nah your way off it on this one I’m afraid. Absolutely nothing like Daryl Murphy either.

He scored 20 in a season at Coventry, and 16 in his previous season with Blackburn before the 28 season one?

Seems to strange to call Gyokeres the real deal over one 17 goal season, but totally discount Armstrong's multiple successful ones because of one bad season at a higher level.

Gyokeres only scored 3 goals in the Championship in season before last.

There's only 8 months difference in age between the two of them.

I'd be buzzing with either.

Gyokeres is a proper front man, who can hold the ball, bring others into play and finish.
Armstrong is no good.

Multiple seasons of scoring for Armstrong.

He's played and struggled in a third of a Premier League season for Southampton.

Oh yeah, that time when a poster left the board because it was widely agreed he over reacted.

I’m not starting anything, but you have been proven wrong by Teacider so are now reverting to insults as a way of backing your point. Doesn’t work like that I’m afraid. Armstrong would be a great signing as would Gyokores.
