Gibson attacks Houchen

Houchen strikes me as a crocs wearer, In that case if Gibson does take his shoes, he’s inadvertently done him a huge favour.
Don't knock them. I got a pair last summer and I am a convert.

Gibson can phuck off if he thinks he's getting mine. Then he can have a good night's sleep, wake up, and phuck off again.

He said freeport currently has 1200 and they’re only doing the steelwork at Seah. I find that hard to believe.
An anonymous witness on site reckoned it less than 100.
A lad who I worked with has just joined them as an electrician. They're just doing training and finished by 10.30am most days, not even on site as there's nothing to do

He says there arnt many employees

Don't forget the completely pointless Teesworks Skills Academy that Ben had built.

So little footfall there that they removed the vending machines 😂

I have 57,000,000,000,000,000,000 bottles of Invertebrate Reptile Lubricant for sale if anyone is interested.
Does it work on monorails as well?

I think a monorail would be great, just think of the jobs we could invest in at the Langley Institute to train the workers and the only thing is to make sure that we use Never Break, rather than Seldom Break drive belts.

What could possibly go wrong?

Is there a chance the track could bend ?

The Simpsons really did nail it with that song.. some of the lines really hit the spot.

Barney Gumble: What about us brain-dead slobs? Lyle Lanley: You'll be given cushy jobs.

Grampa Simpson:Were you sent here by the devil? Lyle Lanley: No, good sir, I'm on the level..I swear, it's Springfield's only choice!Throw up your hands and raise your voice!

Marge: But Main Street's still all cracked and broken. Bart: Sorry, Mom, the mob has spoken!

I feel as though a monorail is not for Houchen, it's more of a Shelbyville thing.

Got to laugh at that.

Teesside under the Tories from the 1980s has been absolutely run into the ground, chronic underinvestment in infrastructure, schools, hospitals..... everything.

So now a £160m package is unveiled, with a ridiculous amount going straight to Musgrave and Corney risk free.....and that's a roaring success?

Yet folk on Teesside still believe Houchen is "the best thing to happen to the area" 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

Deary me, the state of politics ☹️☹️
The general public are clueless, or simply do not care enough to look at anything beyond headlines. Of course the headlines are controlled largely by Tory media, funded by the rich, who are only acting on their own behalf, at the detriment of the lower classes and people who are easily conned.

We say we have a free press, but that's an extremely bad thing when it's heavily weighted to the side on the opposite of most of the free people. It's also worse when the people who pay most attention to the press are the old folk, who area generally a lot richer than the middle aged or younger folk.

We need to bring in weighted voting in line with peoples understanding. It's not democratic if people can be so easily conned into voting for self harm.

The only thing that can save us is that things have gotten so ****, for the young (especially), that they will hopefully do anything to get rid of these clowns. Eventually the weight of those hardest hit will outweigh those hit less, and counter balance the clueless.

The internet and access to a wider spectrum of free news/ social media and information should gradually wear out what can be influenced by Tory money. The internet has been in use for ~25 years, but things really kicked on about 20 years ago, and it's generally only adults who watch/ read the news. So, that probably means that it's only people early 40's and younger who will have relied more on online news, rather than the press, for most of their adult lives etc.

Hopefully when the Tories get hammered a lot of the funding and ownership of the press may slow down, due to a bad ROI, and we know they like ROI. If Labour can get in and hold for 10 years then I think that will be enough to kill off the Tory press/ media influence, and bring some balance back, as balance will sell to new generations. When people finally get the balance and more truth I think it will be the end of the right having all the control.

We absolutely do not want to introduce weighted voting based on understanding, that's an awful idea.

The vast majority of voters will have, at best, a surface level understanding of what they're voting for in every democracy in the world.

Introducing tests on that knowledge would inevitably just lead to corruption, and you'd also end up with calls for people who pay more tax to have more of a say if you're getting rid of one person, one vote.
