Ghislane Maxwell

I think it is screamingly obvious that Epstein was probably "offed" and in the light of that it is unsurprising that Gizzy's memory was a trifle vague on details and names. It is sensible to be sceptical about the "news" but you also have to be logical about what is happening. For Maxwell to be allowed into "Witness Protection" there would have to be so many people in the loop but required to keep quiet it is just fanciful.
The whole point of witness protection would be not many people would know about it at all.
Facing the rest of your life in prison or giving up the names of the rest of those people involved in what is more than likely a fairly large people trafficking ring isn't a tough choice to make.
Alas we will never know the real story unless she publicly comes out with all that she knows.

there will be a lot of 'love & sex' awaiting her in the penitentiary - she will be allowed to fill her boots.

20 years is a lenient sentence given what has been involved - 2 1/4 years for each guilty verdict - has she got the lowest gaol term available for keeping schtum ?- i wouldnt have thought so.

Good point.
Nailed on she has tales to tell about all manner of famous and high profile people.
Maybe she was waiting to see what term she'd end up with?
She'll fester now and we might see a change in her attitude.
There'll be a few sweating out there... except nonce Andrew of course who doesn't sweat. (n)

Well if people start facing charges for this then it might be that has happened. I don't think we will though. The choice is made a little tougher by the very real risk of a shortened life expectancy vs a spell in chokey...

Yes, difficult to see how there is much scope for future reduction if she reveals her clients.

Sham trial.
She won't even go to prison.
What do you mean, she won't go to prison? She's been in prison for two years already - and went straight back into jail after sentencing.
Yes and Epstien killed himself, in solitary confinement, whilst the cameras were off.
With what she knows, names, travel schedules, financial transactions etc she's definitely squealed and is now more than likely in witness protection.

A person only goes into witness protection if they've done a deal to provide evidence to the prosecution.

Both her attorneys and the prosecutors have stated that no deal was either offered or taken.

Also, people don't go into witness protection, that have been found guilty and sentenced to twenty years in jail.

That's not how the witness protection system works.

It's my opinion she isn't in jail and never has been. 😏

Sometimes........ not often... they get some. R Kelly just got a big 30 years.
Be lucky to smell free air ever again........ hopefully

No, she actually got a relatively harsh sentence - slightly higher than the federal recommendations, if you look at the sentencing guidelines.

the federal sentencing guidelines [...] suggest a 15-to-19-year prison term for Maxwell

Ghislaine Maxwell sentenced to 20 years in prison
