Dont understand the fuss thats been made around this, a referee was hardly going to throw away his career over dislike of England (Which in Germany the rivalry is virtually non existent anyway)

Agree, in my experience of germans they hold us in a high regard, if Germany go out of a competition its England they look to to support... I know mind blowing, but its my experience of them.

That made no sense! As I pointed out when we played Germany we had a Dutch ref. That should have been worse for them as that’s an actual rivalry

He's a really good referee and is often involved in big European games. It's a really tough role being a referee and they deserve more respect than they often get.
