The fairy tale for German 3rd tier side Saarbrücken continues after they won 2-1 tonight against Bundesliga side Borussia Mönchengladbach. Having already defeated Bayern Munich and Eintracht Frankfurt they are now in the semi-final where they will play 2nd tier Kaiserslauten for a place in the final.
Only one Bundesliga team remains in the DFB Cup this season which is Bayer Leverkusen, two are from Germany's second tier which include Kaiserslauten and Düsseldorf with the remaining team Saarbrücken from Germany's third tier. This would never happen in the FA Cup these days would it?
