Gayle looks like its going to be done
Gyorkes is clearly our main target probably move for him straight after Spence goes
João is a damn good striker available for cheap

Would we be happy If come the opening day this was the 5 men Wilder had at his disposal.

How does anyone know that Gyokeres is our main target?

Not having a go, but unless you're actually doing the deals - on both sides - then how on earth could anybody claim to know that?

Yes, this! Seeing his name on here and on twitter, but all from fans and not really anyone ITK, unless I've completely missed something?
 
Well there's lots of press (based on nothing I assume) linking us with him, more than Riis from PNE for example, so people are taking it that we are prioritizing him as our big signing of the summer.

And 'main' target as he'd be one of the most expensive up and coming champo strikers to sign you'd assume?
 
Because he's decent or he had a decent season, so we all ASSUME that our board and those in power noticed this (Wilder, Scott) so they want him but so do about ten other clubs at least, but how much they want him and how much they can offer versus how much he's willing to sacrifice to join the clubs etc

Not many people really 'know'
 
I would be extremely happy with that line-up of forwards to the point where it's almost unrealistic. Not sure if there is better available to us at any price so that is probably the best that we could do. They are all good options.

Would be a big gamble, but that would be all the money from a player that didn't play for us last year to completely overhaul our strikers (and ideally retain, or increase, resale value). Leaves the rest of our funds to improve other areas.

Agree that we would probably send Coburn out on loan unless he was 4th choice and Watmore accepts getting very few minutes unless we have injuries which I can't see because he is such a good impact sub.

I agree, if we have 4 strikers (incl. Watmore) then Coburn won't be here, he can be sent somewhere til Jan, can even do it with the recall clause incase of freak injuries, but he needs to play, and we aren't gonna spunk money on Gayle, Gyorkes etc for them to rotate with Coburn are we.

Absolutely not, and i love it!!!
When i hear or read all the ITK board members and the speculation (more so with that Riis and Twine, talking like they've already signed!) i do get carried away and part of me wonders just how many people are in Wilder and Scott's inner circle :ROFLMAO:

Yeah well i've been following Boro for 35 years and have never been ITK, despite knowing people who have links to the club......

We've downgraded our optimitic links over the years though, i mean we'd be linked with Ravanelli, Mendieta, Viduka etc in the past and it was actually true. Now we're probably stretching reality with links to a Coventry striker!
