Gaston Ramirez OOC

You can't remember ramirez goal v Bournemouth?!!? It was goal of the month. Its just about the only good thing that happened that season and it's linked twice on this thread alone!

Oh THAT goal.

It's all coming back... 💭🤯

But best Boro goal at the Riverside?! I think not.
I dont remember watching much of that season other than a shocking game agaisnt spurs. I think we lost and the game plan seemed to be dont go past the centre circle. Thats a pretty good goal but best ever? Not even top 10. Rochemback free kick against Man City I think at keast best free kick ever. Downing volley in the same game. Most of JFH goals... karanka was still learning. We would be a better a club and he woukd of been a better manager now if we'd stuck together

Monza are some side aren't they!?

Had Balotelli last year (probably in my top 5 favourite players ever) and now Ramirez (same). Think Kevin Prince Boateng was there recently as well.

Berlusconi's new plaything following Milan.

Might try to get out for a match before the end of the season.

Did you mean to add "who've wasted their talent" inside the first brackets!? ;)

Genuinely out of interest, what did you like so much about Balotelli?

Haha, in short, probably "un-predictability".

Absolutely no doubting he could have been one of the best in the world - strong, pacy, great technique and could finish but obviously he never quite reached those heights consistently.

That said, there's something I love about watching a player who "can" do something like that at any point versus a fairly average player who wouldn't even try it probably.

Think it was similar when Gascoigne was with us - past his best but still anticipation every time he gets the ball that he might do something incredible.

Not the only reason we got promoted but certainly one of the main ones.

He had all the gear but in the end no idea.

30 yrs old, out of form, out of contract and soon to be out of a club. Who would have thought Gaston would end up in that situation - apart from everybody maybe.
Great player on his day but sadly his integrity and commitment went awol in the end.
