Gareth Bale

Just thinking about Bale’s wages of £550k pw. He earns more in a fortnight than his father has probably done in his lifetime. When you think about it it’s incredible.

Really he must have more money now than he can ever ever spend. Just think how much of a legend he would become if he suddenly became a little philanthropic. I know he probably helps some charities but a weeks wages would have saved Macclesfield for example. Wouldn’t it have been lovely for him to aspire to attain the freedom of Macclesfield with his statue placed outside Macc Town Hall By donating a weeks wage to saving that Club.

Seriously though it’s mind boggling how wealthy the guy is for doing very little in the last few seasons.

How do you know he doesn't already. There are a lot of people who are involved in philanthropy but don't shout it from the rooftops.
 
Having flown in from Spain he doesnt have to quarantine for 14 days. Its this elite inconsistency that doesn't sit well with me.
 
It wouldn't surprise me.... if Amazon somehow had some say/pressued Spurs in this - even though Bale is a great player on his day........ although a crazy suggestion - think of their Season 2 on PRIME with a 'superstar' like Bale

Amazon tend to move on it’s part of their all or nothing series so it’s normally a one off - City Brazil Dallas cowboys All blacks etc so prob not bothered about a sequel
 
It could be a great move for both. Bale by all accounts is very professional so will still be in top shape. If his physical attributes are still good then he'll have a quality season again. When he left Spurs they splurged the money on loads of players. I think there's only Lamela left on those brought in to replace him.

Not quite top shape, BBC reporting he has an injury that could keep him out for 2-4 weeks, presumably the delay is about reducing the fee to reflect the alleged injury. Good player though and once fit will improve Spurs considerably.

I probably didn't explain well, but I meant top shape in his ability to still run at pace, go past people with ease and shoot accurately and with power. That's what his game is all about. Or at least was when he was at his best. To maintain that he has to have Ronaldo like dedication. I doubt he eats badly and drinks alcohol, so could still be in top shape.
 
I like their chairman he’s turned them into a top club facilities wise . The only thing missing is silverware’s, that’s obviously why Jose is there , he wins trophies everywhere he goes . Jose just needs to drop the grumpy man syndrome but this maybe something created more by the media .
Anyone with Kane up front should be winning titles not just challenging, add a proven winner to that like bale and it’s got to happen .
Everton have a proven winner in their manager so wouldn’t be surprised if one of these won a trophy sooner rather than later .

He can only avoid quarantine if he meets the established criteria (which it looks like he will).

This includes him having arrived from a monitored environment where coronavirus protocols have been adhered to and that he will also need to have returned negative test results within five days prior to entering the United Kingdom.
